The Golden Opportunity

Named for the golden fall hues that adorn our landscape each autumn, the name Golden Acres captures the essence of our property.

However, the meaning of 'Golden Acres' goes beyond the visual fall colors; it symbolizes the invaluable richness found in working the earth and nurturing beautiful blooms. Each blossom that thrives here is a testament to the golden opportunity to steward the land and share its bounty with others.

The Dreamers

Founded by Jo Drummonds, a dedicated landscape designer, Jo brings her passion for horticulture and landscape design to every bloom grown on our 2-acre flower farm.

With dual associates degrees in landscape design and horticulture technology, Jo's upbringing on Foggy Bottom Farm, a century-old family property, inspired her to cultivate Golden Acres into a flourishing flower farm. Jo is accompanied by her loving husband, Wesley Drummonds, and their two huskies, Ramona and Sully.

Cheers to Growth

Jo envisions expanding this passion project to Foggy Bottom Farm, transforming both properties into beautiful venue spaces where the community can gather and celebrate life's milestones.

Her vision includes hosting a variety of events—weddings, baby showers, family reunions, and photography sessions—surrounded by the natural beauty of locally sourced blooms.

Additionally, Jo plans to curate local dinners showcasing farm-to-table cuisine, incorporating produce grown on-site and botanical elements from her flower farm.
